January Randoms, 2016

January was busy as ever, Grandpa and Grandma Gant came for a visit, Colton began Basketball and Kinley had fun at Disney on Ice, Frozen.  Enjoy!

Grandpa Dave watching Colton play his Wii U.

Grandma Barb let Kinley paint her face with make-up.

We took the kids to Bounce U with some friends during the winter break.

They absolutely loved the hurricane simulator.

Having fun on the bouncy balls.

Colton's turn to put make-up on Kinley.

Kinley enjoyed cheering for her brother at his first basketball practice.

Taking a breather from practice.

Kinley was a little excited for Disney on Ice, Frozen.

Second row seats, not too bad.

We were so close that it was easy to see all of the characters up close.

Mommy and Kinley selfie.

Needed to reapply her lipstick after lunch.

Colton all ready for his first field trip, The Cat in the Hat.

He loved it, but I think he loved going on the school bus even more (first time).

Kinley was hoping for some snow so she could use her snow boots.

Colton (#26) in his first basketball game.

He scored a basket in his first game!

I noticed this on Colton's door one day.

Kinley being silly at Red Robin.

Kinley wanted to dress like Colton one Saturday.

John's Incredible Pizza opened up in Vegas so we took the kids with some friends for some fun.

Ms. McKenrick, a teacher at our school, came out to support Colton during one of his basketball games.

January was pretty mild and nice enough to heat the pool.

Christmas Fun, 2015

December was so crazy.  Kinley had her pre-school performance, we went to Utah for a few days and then celebrated Christmas.  Enjoy!

This was our last year going to the Merryhill Christmas party.  The kids have enjoyed painting an ornament and seeing Santa and Mrs. Clause.

Getting ready for their performance.

The kids were ready to go.

Kinley got a prime spot on Ms. Mendoza's lap.

Visiting with Santa and Mrs. Clause.

Telling Mrs. Clause what he wanted for Christmas.

Giving her list to Santa.

Kinley had a Cheer Christmas party.  They exchanged new pajamas.

All the girls together.

Kinley and her friend, Layla.

Getting ready for her school Christmas party.

The kids were asked to bring a book wrapped and then they got to pick any present they wanted.

Some of the grandkids at Grandma and Grandpa Leatherwood's.

Another opportunity to tell Santa what they wanted.

Opening their gifts from their cousins.

After dinner and gift opening, we played a fun game.  This team here won, yet I'm convinced that they cheated in some way :).

Ready to go play in the new snow.

The kids didn't have any snow gear, considering we live in Vegas, but they still had a blast and were plenty cold by the time they came in.

My sister Lisa had the brilliant idea to take our girls to see the Nutcracker at Capital Theater.  Here is Mallory and Kinley.

Kinley showing off her ballet moves during the intermission.

I was pleasently surprised by how much she loved the ballet.  Definitely something that we will do again.

Decorating cookies for Santa.

This is a favorite tradition to do on Christmas Eve.

Another favorite Christmas tradition is to open one gift on Christmas Eve.

Kinley, of course, picked one of the biggest gifts to open, Monster High dolls set.

Colton opened a WWE gift.

Both kids ready for bed and for Santa to come.

Colton got a Wii U among other smaller gifts.

Kinley got two pairs of sketchers along with a new dress-up center.

The kids stockings.

All ready for the morning to come.

The kids had fun going through all their presents and playing.

Kinley got an Easy Bake Oven and we tested it out with some chocolate chip cookies.
