Colton's Karate Presentation

Colton has been in karate since the start of the school year.  This presentation was a accumulation of what he learned in karate.  We are so proud of him and his accomplishments in this sport.  Way to go Colton!  Enjoy!

Kinley and daddy waiting for the show to start.

First, the kids showed off their gymnastic skills.

Getting a better view.

Now onto some karate.  Waiting patiently for instruction.

The next several pictures are of their punches.

Kinley starts Gymnastics

Kinley has an abundant of energy and is always dancing around.  We decided to see how she did in a gymnastics class.  We are also considering a dance class later in the summer.  These pictures are from the first few classes.  Enjoy!

There is a window between the class and the parents....sorry for the glares.  Kinley seated and waiting for Coach to instruct them.  She was sooooo excited.

They were getting ready for a meet so they had rotations for each area; floor, bars, balance beam and vault.  This rotation is to help them with handstands, cartwheels, etc.

No lie, this was on her first try at a handstand.  Coach helped her up, but I'd say she has pretty good form.

This was a piece of cake for Kinley.  Jumping and landing on the mats at the same time.

Bars were next.  There were four stations of bars.  On this station they had to have their feet on the bar next to the hands and swing.

Finished product.

On this bar she had to climb the mat and put her legs over the bar.

Finally, climb the mat on the wall and flip over on the bar.

The next week, time was spent on the balance beam.

Kinley did really good on the balance beam, she even remembered to point her toes.

Finishing their floor routine with a handstand.

One week we went on a different night due to a conflict and Kinley had the coach all to herself.  Here she got up on the bar by herself and swung her legs.

Another improvement from the couple weeks earlier.  She was able to get her body on the bar all by herself and swing.

Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice came to Vegas again and this time Colton wanted to come.  We also went with my friend Autumn and her two girls, Lillian and Emma.  It was a lot of fun!  Enjoy!

The girls wanted to dress up as princesses so Kinley decided on Rapunzel from Tangled.

Emma (Snow White), Colton, Lillian (Little Mermaid), and Kinley eating popcorn and waiting for the show to start.

Disney on Ice does a really good job of making the characters look just like from the movie.  Here is Bruce from Finding Nemo.

Jesse, Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story.

All of the kids were glued to the show.

Kinley waving to one of the princesses.

Afterwards we tried to get all of the kids together for a picture, but Colton wanted nothing to do with it.

The girls all dressed up.

Kinley received more than one compliment on her darling outfit.

Colton was happy to get his picture taken all by himself. :)

April Randoms

Below are some random pictures from April.  Enjoy!

Kinley in deep thought.

I'm not sure where she learned this face, but it has been seen in more than one picture lately.

Kinley's name is on the yellow owl at the top of the picture. This bulletin board is at Merryhill and has all of the kids that are registered for next year.  She was happy to see it and know that she will be going to Merryhill next year for preschool.

My fashionable diva.  She found the socks and the yellow shoes that she wore when she was 1 1/2 and Minnie Mouse for Halloween.  How her feet still fit in them is beyond me.

We finally got over to the Purple Penguin for some yummy shaved ice.

Colton showing off all if the puzzles that he put together.  Kinley helped him as well.

Although Colton was taking soccer at school, we wanted him to have more experience with it.  We decided to start in at Lil Kickers which helps with the basics and fundamentals of soccer, plus it's indoors which helps with the Vegas heat.

Kinley was able to have a free day to try out soccer.

She had fun and listened to the coach.  We will get her started in the fall.

Kinley enjoying a nice breakfast outside.

Easter, 2014

Easter was fun this year. As the kids get older, the more fun the holidays become.  Enjoy!

Dying Easter .  I bought each kid a coloring kit; princesses for Kinley and Angry Birds for Colton.

Both kids had fun deciding what color to use next.

Colton was very particular about where he wanted to put the stickers.

After dying the eggs it was time to get in the pool.

On Easter, after the kids naps, they woke up to see that the Easter Bunny had been by.  Colton was so excited to get the Angry Birds Go cars for his iPad game.

After seeing what the Easter Bunny brought, it was time to head outside and go on the Easter egg hunt.

Can you tell she's excited?

It was a great day!  Happy Easter!
