September Randoms

Below are some random pictures from September. It was a busy month with school starting back and the kids starting back with sports.  Colton resumed soccer and Kinley continued with gymnastics but we added a ballet class and she has absolutely loves it!  Enjoy!

Learning to jump on the spring board.

Ending gymnastics with a little fun and a parachute.

Hanging out with Mr. Skeleton after putting up Halloween decorations.

"Look mom, I have zombie nails."  This girl loves anything zombie right now.

First ballet class.

Kinley loves ballet and her coach, Miss Camille.

Making hugs for cousin Bryce who is serving a mission in Mexico.

The kids had a lot of fun coloring their outlines.

Uh oh, already pretending to put on lipstick!

Kinley all ready for Ballet class.

Kinley's "sassy" face.

I hosted Bunco with a bunch of my teachers. Kinley had so much fun playing with Ava and her princess castle.

Kinley was literally telling me to "go away" so she and Ava could play.

Kinley getting her hair done and giving me the duck face.

Our gated housing community  is only about 140 homes and has a park in the middle of the homes.  Every year, the social committee puts on different events.  This was the "Fiesta in the park."  There was food, music, games and face painting.  Kinley is showing off her butterfly that her babysitter Madeline painted on her.

The selfie station with props.  Kinley wasn't interested in the props nor the picture.

Five houses from being home, the car battery died on the way home for the party.  Daddy got his exercise in.

At Target having fun in the Halloween isle.  These kids can be so silly.

School is in full swing

School has started for both kiddos and we are in full swing with things.  Colton attends Schorr ES, the school where I am the Assistant Principal.  He is in the full day class and is loving it!  It's amazing how his much he has come along in the last year and how much he's already learning this year.  He can already reading sight word books all by himself the first time with no help.
Kinley is at Merryhill and is also loving it.  She has a great teacher and is in a small class (6 kids).  She is taking soccer, dance and gymnastics there and is having a lot of fun learning new things.  She goes three days a week and the other two with our babysitter.   Enjoy!

My Technology teacher sent the next few pictures to me of Colton in class.  He is controlling a small robot with the ipad...right up his alley.

He had so much fun...you can see the pure joy on his face.

After school one day, Colton couldn't wait to tell me all about "Apple Day" and the fun that was had.

Daddy went to be a helper at Merryhill one day.  He helped with making cookies and passing out pizza for Pizza Friday.  Kinley loved having him there.

Open house night.  Colton showing us the self-portrait that he drew along with his picture.

One of Kinley's school pictures.  They turned out so cute!

Teddy Bear Picnic time. Colton's class ate lunch outside in the atrium with their blankets and teddy bears.  I love that I'm able to share in these experiences with him.

Oklahoma Trip

Over Labor Day weekend, we took the kids and flew to Oklahoma to visit with Grandpa and Grandma Schrage.  It was a busy weekend with the OU football game, me flying to Utah on Sunday morning and coming back to Oklahoma that night and the kids going to the zoo and duck pond.  Enjoy!

Eric throwing the kids around in the pool.

On Saturday, we headed to the only game in town, OU football.  If you want to see what real tailgating looks like, just head to Norman on a Saturday.

Although it was hotter and more humid than hades, we had a fun time.  We left early to go to dinner at Dave and Busters in Oklahoma City.

Grandpa and Grandma took the kids to the zoo on Sunday for some fun while I was in Utah for the day.

Grandpa and Grandma got a new dog since the last time we visited.  The kids had fun playing with Cody.

We finally got to meet the newest Grace, little Jennings.  What a cutie.

Saying goodbye at the airport.

Start of School, 2014

This was a big year for us, in school terms.  Colton started Kindergarten at Schorr ES, where I am the AP, with Mrs. Dahl.  Kinley began her school career with Pre-K at Merryhill and Mrs. Seldner.  Enjoy!

Kinley on her first day of Pre-K, August 18, 2014.  She was sooooo excited!

Standing in front of her cubby in her classroom.

She literally sat down and started playing with the play-doh and was like, "Bye Mom and Dad."  Such a different experience than with Colton.  Mrs. Moore was Colton's teacher last year and will have Kinley for the first hour of the day.  She and Mrs. Zietlow were really wishing they would get Kinley this year but at least they get an hour with her.

Colton's first day of Kindergarten, August 25, 2014.  He couldn't wait to get to school.

Kinley (with a mouth full of muffin) wanted in on Colton's picture.

The first day is over and he did great, according to his wonderful teacher, Mrs. Dahl.

Kinley insisted that I take her picture this day.  She said, "Mom, I look so cute, you need to take my picture." :)

This girl has no confidence issues at all.

She certainly knows how to pose when asked.

Anniversary and Birthdays

August is a very busy month with our Wedding Anniversay (August 11) along with my birthday (August 22) and Eric's (August 24).  We decided to get away for a few days this year for our 7th anniversary.  We found a great deal for The Boulders, Waldolf Astoria, in Scottsdale, Arizona.  We were lucky that my dad and Ruby could come down to watch the kids.  Enjoy!

This was inside the beautiful spa.  I had a wonderful facial.

This was our gorgeous view right outside of our room.  Lots of fun trails all around as well.

Our hotel room, or casita.  It was nice to have much more space than in a regular hotel room.

After the spa, while Eric was golfing on their four star course, I relaxed by the pool with the beautiful back drop.  That is a water fountain coming out of the rock.

Another gorgeous view of our surroundings.

This was a golf tee right by our casita.  You had to hit the ball over the lake.  If you were really good there was another tee just above this one, higher up.

While we were gone, my dad and Ruby had a blast with the kids.  They got to take and watch Kinley at gymnastics and then onto Chuck E Cheese.

Kinley with Chuck.

The kids also enjoyed long bubble baths.  With mommy and daddy, their baths tend to be short and sweet.

Unfortunately, Kinley had her teacher meet and greet while we were gone.  Grandma and Grandpa took her and sent us these pictures.

Meeting Mrs. Seldner for the first time.

The kids begged me to bake a birthday cake (with their help) for myself simply so they sing "Happy Birthday" while I blew out the candles.

For Eric's birthday, two days later, we opted for his favorite cupcakes (from Freeds Bakery).

He even got to blow a candle out.

August Randoms

The summer seriously flew by!  We are now into September and school is in full swing with both kiddos.  Here are some random pictures from August.  Enjoy!

I found the kids on Kinley's bed one afternoon....ahhhhh!

The kids being silly with hats.

Uh oh, this girl loves chocolate!

One of the kids favorite movies right now is Rocky IV.  They love acting out the training scenes.

 "Hearts on Fire."

One of my good, good friends got a job back home.  We at least got to go to dinner with her to say goodbye :(.

These two will miss Rebecca!

I found this Colton selfie on my phone....too cute!

Bat girl in disguise?

Colton was trying on his Halloween costume when he asked Kinley if she wanted to take a picture with Ironman.
