October Randoms

Next to December, October is by far, our busiest month.  With all of the fun activities at school and home, plus we always hit Disneyland in October, it becomes crazy busy but fun!  Enjoy!

Kinley was chosen as Student of the Month!

Merryhill Preschool holds a Halloween Extravaganza each other.  The kids get to dress up and play games, eat, go on a train ride and ride a horse.  It's a lot of fun and we look forward to it each year.

Waiting to ride the horses.

Time to take a quick train ride.

We went to a birthday party at Gilcrease Orchard.  The kids had fun seeing the rows and rows of fruits, vegetables and of course, pumpkins.

We took a fun hayride around the property.

"Mom, I'm going to read to my baby."

This year we took our family pictures in a little town outside of Vegas, Blue Diamond.  The town has around 300 residences and apparently, some wild burros.

Enjoying a little quiet time and a donut.

Kinley has gotten so much better at coloring in the lines.

One week during soccer practice, Colton could bring a friend.  He choose his sister to come play with him.

I absolutely love getting these weekly email updates.  It always puts a smile on my face to see a snippet of what Kinley did in class that day.

Colton was already to go to the park with Daddy for some baseball practice.

Kinley didn't like her bow this day.  It's tough to be a girl some days.

Kinley fell off the bars in gymnastics.  When coach asked her if she was okay, she replied yup and kept going.  Needless to say, she had a nice shiner for a week.

Having fun in Ballet with Ms. Camille.

Grandma and Grandpa Gant Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Gant came out for their annual visit in October.  This year, Uncle Andy drove in from California for some fun as well.  The kids had a blast with all the visitors and lots of fun was had.  Enjoy!

Kinley showing Grandma and Grandpa her Halloween costume.  She looks sooooo grown up in this picture.

Grandma Deb let Kinley wear her wedding ring for a couple of minutes because Kinley said that she was missing a ring with her gloves.

Showing Grandma how the her ring looks.

Acting out Rocky IV yet again, this time with Cinderella and Iron Man.

Uncle Andy got in late on Saturday night.  He captured this picture of Kinley hiding in the refrigerator.

Sunday was spent having fun in the pool and later having dinner and going to the Pumpkin Patch.  Colton is throwing the basket ball to Andy as Grandpa David is enjoying the hot tub.

Enjoying the hot tub altogether.

Time to feed the animals again.

This time, only Colton wanted to ride the train around.

Lots of slide fun.

Even Daddy got in on the action with Kinley.

Jump house fun.

Grandma Deb and Grandpa David with the kiddos.

Uncle Andy with everyone.

The Gant boys; 2014 and Dec. 1997.  They've hardly changed in 17 years!

Last picture before heading home.  We had a great time and it was great to see Grandma and Grandpa as well as Uncle Andy.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

For the last couple of weeks, Colton has been excited to see the pumpkin patch go up on our way to school.  Everyday he would look for anything new that wasn't there the day before (hay bales, rides, animals, etc.).  When the pumpkin patch finally opened on October 1, I told him that we would go soon.  I had taken October 2 off for some appointments and I picked Kinley up from her babysitter a little early and we went to get Colton from school.  They were both surprised and excited when I pulled in the parking lot.  Enjoy!

Colton loved feeding the animals.

Kinley liked feeding the animals but was ready to do something else after a few minutes.

There were lots of picture opportunities.

Taking a ride on the train.

The kids spent most of the time going up and down this big slide.  I wish I would've put Kinley in shorts this day....oops.

Colton looks so hot.  This was right at the end of our fun with the pumpkin patch and he was worn out.

Kinley still had some energy left.  Silly girl.

This last Saturday we visited a "real" pumpkin patch for a birthday party.

Taking a wagon ride around the orchard.

The kids had fun seeing all of the apple and pear trees, vegetables, and of course pumpkins.
