St. George Trip 2012

We took our annual trip to St. George this year in mid August. We had a wonderful time reconnecting with my siblings and the kids cousins, but Grandpa and Grandma Leatherwood were certainly missed as they were serving their mission at Oklahoma State University. Enjoy!

We always stay at the condos at Las Palmas and have been going there for 30+ years. There is a great pool area with several different types of pools for all ages. Here Colton found a fun airplane to play on as well.

Night swimming. Basically the kids would wake up and swim, eat lunch, swim, have dinner and swim yet again! Mallory is entertaining Kinley.

Colton, Kinley and Marshall decided to steal the Doritos and take them into the bedroom and start eating them. This was the look of guilt on their faces.

Katelynd and Mallory, the two oldest girls (there are only four, including Kinley out of 14 grandkids) loves watching and playing with Kinley. Kinley loved all of the attention!

Kinley relaxing after a long day at the pool.

Now it was Katelynd's turn to play with Kinley in the pool.

All fourteen of the Leatherwood cousins. Bryce (in the white USA shirt) is the oldest at 16 with Kinley the youngest at 15 months.

Kinley's 15 month stats

Kinley turned 15 months on August 4th, which meant another trip to her pediatricians and some shots. I always find it interesting to see how tall she is because I see it in her clothes size. Enjoy!

Kinley LOVES to play with daddy's ties. She also likes to go into our closet and try on our shoes. Here she has a couple ties on and found a comfortable spot to take a rest.

Kinley definitely has an affinity for shoes. She not only enjoys walking around in one of our shoes, but loves to wear her own shoes around. Too cute!

Another shot of her walking around in our shoes.

In this picture, I took it as she was starting to walk over towards me and lost the flip flop on the way.

15 Months Old!

Height: 33 1/2 inches (95% and up). She's grown two inches in three months!

Weight: 23.10 lbs. (50-75%)

Feeding: Kinley finally started to eat some fruit this summer. Her favorite are strawberries followed by blueberries and grapes. Kinley can be a picky eater, but she will usually try something once, unlike Colton.

Sleeping: GREAT, GREAT, GREAT! Kinley usually wakes up between 8:00-9:00 am when I was home in the summer. She always takes a nap, usually two hours after waking and for about 2-2 1/2 hours. Kinley will then be awake for two hours and go right back down for another two hour nap. She hits the sack at night around 8:00-8:30 pm and sleeps solidly until morning.

Size: Kinley is wearing size four diapers and have been wearing 18-24 month summer clothes. All of her fall clothes that I already have will be 24 months or 2T. She wears a size 5 shoe.

Teeth: Kinley has 12 teeth and is getting all four of her canine teeth in right now, which makes it 16 teeth! Our dentist want to see both kids for our next appointment in February. With 16 teeth, all that's left are some molars.

Milestones: This girl loves to climb and swim. She has NO fear of either, which to be honest, is a little scary to me. She will often climb up on something and fall off with not a peep. In the pool Kinley loves to play on the wet deck, but also loves to walk off the steps straight into the much deeper water. Good thing Eric or I are always there. She doesn't mind going under the water and getting completely soaked. Needless to say, she will start swim lessons next Spring. Kinley is a little talker. She can clearly say; hi, buh bye, momma, dadda. She also say many other words that aren't as audible, but as her parents, we get her.

Personality: I can't say enough how much this little girl is a delight. She has such a fun personality already and is very outgoing. She, again, has no fear of people that she doesn't know and will ask for hugs from them. Kinley is a funny girl! Like her mom, she can be a klutz at times and will even trip over her own feet and jump right up like nothing happened. Kinley makes me laugh, a lot, everyday and her father and I are very lucky that she choose us!

Kinley is a great little mommy helper. She ofter picks up all of her and Colton's toys and puts them away without asking as well as wanting to help me when I'm cleaning.

July Randoms

This summer if flying by! We've enjoyed a few vacations and hanging out in our new pool. Here are some random pictures from the month of July. Enjoy!

If you've ever seen the movie "The Hangover" you would understand the hilarity of Colton's shirt. Courtesy of Daddy of course!

Pool time. I Think I'll just dip my toe in.

All smiles!

Mr. Muscles. He was posing like this all by himself with no help from mommy. Any guesses where he learned this from?

Kinley looking cute in her sparkly hot pink fedora. The girl wouldn't let me take if off.

I finally got around to checking off some of my summer "to do" list, including making tie blankets for both kiddos. Here is Kinley's awesome pink Colts blanket. Colton got a new Cars blanket.

This girl is determined! She stayed at it until she got all the toys out that she could reach.

Love the sunglasses on top of her head and her "purse."

Checking out Colton's headphones and iPad.

Colton loves to play with play-doh. Here he is rolling out some dough.

Showing me that he can cut out the shape all by himself.

Smiling at me and proud of his dolphin.

Showing off all of his animals.

Summer Vacation...Oklahoma/Texas...part 2

After spending a week in Florida with Grandma and Grandpa Gant, we got on another airplane and headed to Oklahoma. (I must say, for as much flying as we did, the kids were AWESOME! We had several people on each flight tell us how good our kids were :) We were in Oklahoma to visit Grandma and Grandpa Schrage, who live in Norman, and Grandpa and Grandma Leatherwood, who are in Stillwater. We also took a couple of days and went to Dallas to see the Hastedt family. Enjoy!

We got in really late and the next morning after breakfast, I found Kinley sitting on the table eating more Cheerios. Have I mentioned that she is our little climber. She will climb anything and everything with no fear.

Kinley trying on Colton's goggles. Too funny.

My dad and Ruby are currently serving a mission in Stillwater, Oklahoma, which is just over an hour away from Norman. We were lucky enough to see and spend sometime with them. They have been gone since May and miss all of their children and grandchildren very much, all 39 of them!

While in Stillwater for the day, we hit up Eskimo Joe's for lunch. This is a very famous restaurant in Stillwater. Daddy had to walk away as Grandpa put OSU hats on the kids :).

Grandma Ruby holding Kinley in a sparkly OSU hat.

That's better, just a plain Eskimo Joe's hat this time.

The kids with Grandpa Dan and Daddy posing with Eskimo Joe.

When we found out that there was a new Dave and Buster's in Oklahoma City, we all headed there for some good food and fun. Kinley had fun flirting with everyone.

Kinley's first 4th of the July outfit. She had another one for a little later. We spent the day with both sets of grandparents, the Schrages and Leatherwoods, swimming, eating and enjoying each others company.

Kinley's second outfit of the day. When it got dark we went to a park where fireworks were happening.

This picture looks like Colton is hitting himself with a big hammer. Love his expression.

Everyone waiting for the fireworks to start.

Grandma Ruby and Grandpa Dan with the kids. We were lucky enough to spend three days with them and enjoyed each minute of it.

We went to Dallas to spend a few days with Brad, Suzy and Cole Hastedt. The guys sent this picture to Suzy and I, as we were out with a bunch of girlfriends for dinner and a movie, proving that they had everything under control with the three kids. :)

Cole and Kinley playing together.

Kinley thought it would be fun to try and fit both of her legs into an old coffee can.

Saying goodbye to Grandma Barb and Grandpa Dave. Sadly, I had taken some other pictures with them outside by the pool, but didn't realize that I had the wrong light setting on it and all of the pictures turned out completely white. :(

What is the first thing Colton does once home from a 2 1/2 week vacation? He goes right to his car and train bin and starts to take them all out to play with. :)

Summer Vacation...Florida...part 1

We headed to Florida to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Gant. Unfortunately, for half of the time we were there we dealt with the effects of Tropical Storm Debbie, which meant a lot of rain and spending time in doors. We made the best of it and had a great time.

Our big boy, Colton, playing with one of Uncle Andy's old toys.

Having fun in the pool. Colton swam nearly every day, rain or shine.

Hanging out in the spa.

Kinley loves her Grandpa David.

Colton took a walk with Grandma Deb and found this huge mango.

Kinley helping Grandpa David vacuum. This girl loves to help clean. I'll have to remind her of that one day :).

Due to the weather, we decided to take the kids bowling. Colton did awesome and even beat Mommy one game. This was his first time and wants to go again soon. Notice the blurriness? That is the humidity that you see. Very, very humid.

Daddy helping Colton with the ball.

Grandpa David watched, or should I say ran, after Kinley so we could bowl.

When the weather cleared up, we took the kiddos to a "Wonder Garden" in Bonita Springs. Colton loved seeing all the animals, especially the alligators and turtles.

Colton petting a baby alligator!!

Kinley enjoyed the animals as well.

Sitting on a big alligator. This kid has no fear :).

Grandma Deb made snow cones and cookies with the kids. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the snow cones because they were babysitting for us, but here are some cute ones of them making cookies.

Colton not only had fun punching the cookies out, but eating the dough too. So did Kinley :).

Kinley scooted her way on the step stool and was apart of the action.

Grandma Deb had some old bags and purses that she got out for Kinley. Here she put one on her shoulder and walked around like a little lady.

Trying to open the purse.

Deb has kept a bunch of Andrew's old toys from 20+ years ago. Colton loved playing with them. I wish they still made some of these toys....they were awesome!

Playing with "Seasame Street" playhouse.

After a fun filled week, it was time to get on a plane and go see the other two sets of Grandparents. Colton was mad at us for leaving. He wanted to stay and play with Grandma and Grandpa.
