This is a video of our miss Kinley showing how she gets into and out of her crib.  She was 18 months old when I recorded this video.  Too cute!

Christmas in Utah 2012

We headed to Utah on the Friday before Christmas.  We had our annual Leatherwood Christmas party that night at Jeff and Mubb's house.  We also spent time at my sister Lisa's house making gingerbread houses, or trains in Colton's case.  It was a quick trip but fun and the kiddos had fun playing with their many cousins.  Enjoy!

The Polar Express

We thought this would be the perfect year to take the kids on The Polar Express.  What a neat activity for the kids to be apart of, especially Colton, who is so into trains right now. We had to drive about three hours, into Williams, Arizona, which is one part of Arizona that gets cold and snow.  The kids had a great time and Colton can't wait to head back next year.  Enjoy!

Once on the train, hot chocolate and cookies were passed out and everyone sang Christmas songs together....much like the movie, Polar Express. Kinley was a fan of the hot chocolate!

 

After we  went to the North Pole and saw Santa and his Elves outside on his sleigh, Santa surprised us and came and had a moment with each child on the train and gave everyone a silver bell.

December Randoms

I know, I know, it's bee awhile since I've updated our blog.  The time has flown by and we have been very busy.  I will try my hardest to get completely caught up in the next week or so.  In today's blog I'm including some random activities that we did in the month of December.  Enjoy!

We took the kids to a fun circle by our house.  Every house is decked out in a different theme.  This 

house had all Charlie Brown characters.

We decided to take the kids to Build a Bear (they love to go and look but we've never bought them anything) and let them pick out any character that they wanted for Christmas.  Colton picked the Grinch.

He got to pick out his heart and we added the song which would play with the squeeze of his hand.

 

Kinley decided on Clarice, Rudolph's girlfriend.  Here she is picking out her heart.

 

Kinley's reindeer played "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" song when you squeezed a leg.  

 Later that night in their new Christmas pj's with their new friends.

I love dressing the kiddos up for holiday's.  We found Colton's shirt at a JCPenny and just had to get it.  "Santa is my homeboy."  Too funny!

On this day, Kinley was being soooo silly!  I also wanted to show off her cute little outfit.  This girl loves shoes/boots as well as her hair accessories.  (Happy Momma)

Both kids thought that it would be fun to put an ice bucket on their heads.  Colton said that he was on a space ship!  Too cute/funny!

Thanksgiving in Utah

This year was our year to be with the Leatherwood clan for Thanksgiving.  Unfortunately, Dad and Ruby weren't there but we look forward to next year.  We left early on Wednesday and returned on Sunday.  It was a great time and we did some fun things with the kids.  Enjoy!

 Kinley in her cute Turkey dress.  As my sister, Lisa, said, "Only you would find a pink dress with a turkey on it for Thanksgiving!" :)

After dinner, Kinley got herself all wet and had to be changed.  Kinley is sitting on Marshall's desk, looking for daddy to bring her some clothes.

 

On Saturday we took the kids and met Lisa and Mallory and Marshall at the train stop.  We took Utah Trax downtown to look at lights and have some fun.  Here, Colton is enjoying the high speed train.

 

 Our first stop was the Gateway Mall.  Colton saw Bob the Builder as we were eating lunch.  The kid loves Bob the Builder.

After lunch, we headed to the Gateway Children's Museum.  Hours of fun was spent there, starting with the real helicopter on top of the building.  

 

The kids loved playing on the helicopter and checked it all out.  Here Kinley found a little hiding place that fits her perfectly.

The museum was full of discovery zones.  Here Marshall and Colton are using coffee filters and seeing what happens when they put them in a tunnel of air.

 This house was awesome.  The kids had so much fun playing with all of the appliances that were just their size.

Once we left the Gateway we headed to Temple Square.  Every Christmas Temple Square is full of lights.  Colton loves lights and always asks to drive around and see them so he was a little overwhelmed when he saw that nearly every tree, bush, even grass was filled with lights.
