St. Patrick's Day Parade

We went to our annual St. Patrick's Day parade and carnival. It was so much fun and the kids couldn't get enough of all the fun rides. Enjoy!

One of the parade participants came right up to Kinley in the middle of all the kids and made her an honorary Princess for the day and gave her this crown. Super cool!

After the parade we went to the carnival for a few rides. We went back in the evening with Daddy.

Both kids are tall enough to get on the rides by themselves. They had a lot of fun!

St. Patrick's Day!

Eric was asked to attend a conference in Washington, DC, and we decided to have me tag along for the week. We were lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa Gant, from Florida, come and watch the kids for the week. Enjoy!

I had been to DC a couple of times but this was Eric's first trip. He had a few things on the "must see" list and one was the monuments. It was cold and rainy all day but we didn't mind because there were not a lot of tourist out and about.

We spent the entire afternoon on this rainy day in the Smithsonian US History building. I could have stayed longer had it not closed at 5:00 pm.

The next day we spent a lot of time at Arlington National Cemetery. Here we were at JFK's grave.

We wanted to make sure to see the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. In the winter months they only change every hour, in the summer it is on the half hour.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is protected 24/7, 365 days a year by a soldier.

It was very reverent and quiet during the changing of the guard. There were a few hundred people there including several students and it was very quiet.

Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to soccer and had fun watching them practice.

Third day and the kids and grandma look happy and excited!

I had a day by myself to explore DC. Eric was at his conference all day so I went to the International Spy Museum, Ford's Theater and National Portrait Gallery.

I spent nearly three hours at the Spy museum. It was so cool and interactive.

Another day of Kinley getting to choose what she wants to wear thanks to Grandma Deb.

This was Grandma and Grandpa's last day with the kids. I think the Grandparents were more exhausted then the kids :).

February's Random Pictures

My friend and the kids babysitter Jo, asked Kinley to be her flower girl in her wedding this summer in San Diego. We went to look for dresses for her and then hit up lunch. This girl loves Jo so much. We will be sooo sad to see her move to another state after she's married.

Another nice weekend means some more time in the pool. We've definitely got our money out of this pool. Kinley is making hand prints with her wet hands on the wall.

We took the kids to see the Spongebob movie. Everyone loved it except mommy, I feel asleep.

The kids filled up their sticker charts so we went to Build a Bear and they got to pick out a bear and some clothes.

Kinley got her first bee sting. She cried for a minute but then mommy put some medicine and a band-aid on the tender spot and she was all smiles.

Grandma Ruby's granddaugther, Kennedy was in town for her cheer competition. Grandma and Grandpa took Kinley to watch her. She was fascinated the entire time.
