August 23 - 29, 2009

Each week gets more fun with Colton. He starting laughing this week and found out that he loves to dance with Daddy (video to come). Colton is getting stronger and stronger as well. Check out the pacifier incident below.

August 16 - 22, 2009

This week was a fun one. We took Colton for his 3 month pictures and they turned out darling!

Sitting up pretty good. This is Colton's "frat wear" according to Eric.

Naked Boy! Actually he has a diaper on :). Lounging in the softest blanket that Grandma Marsha made for him 10 years ago before she passed. It's his favorite blanket.

Talking to Mommy. We hear all the time how "alert" Colton is. If you get the chance to be around him when he talks, you'll just smile :).

#1 Colts Fan! We purposely put him in his Peyton Manning jersey that is 2T. We plan on getting his picture taken every few months this first year and we will chronicle how he grows by using this jersey each time.

This is Colton's new thing. He tries his hardest to lift his head whether he is in his carseat, bouncer, bobby or swing. He works up a sweat doing this. Great ab workout :).

Belly time! We are trying to get Colton a little more comfortable on his belly. He does okay for a few minutes then hollers to get on his back. He lasts a little longer each day.

Colton discovered Disney cartoons this week. Wall E happened to be on and he was completely fascinated! He watched over an hour of it without moving or falling asleep. Later we put in Finding Nemo and again, he loved the bright colors and sat mesmerized. He even started talking to the TV when Nemo and Dorie where on their adventure.

August 9 - 15, 2009

This week was a hard one. On Wednesday I had to return to work. I dropped Colton off at his new babysitter and cried the whole time. I had to change my contacts that night because of how much I had cried. It took a day or two for Colton to get use to not having Mom there but as usual is a very good baby wherever he is. We will have to see how long this situation lasts :).

Colton is getting bigger and bigger. He weighed 15 lbs and was 24 1/2 inches long for being 3 months.

It's our routine to read a story to Colton before putting him in bed. He usually goes to bed about 8 pm and would sleep until 8 am if we didn't have to wake him to go to the babysitter.

Colton loves sitting up now and can even roll over to one side. He's getting so strong.

August 2 - 8, 2009

This week started with being the last full week with Colton before returning to work. Needless to say I was sad every time I thought about it. This week was also spent with my family in St. George, Utah. It was a fun time with lots of swimming and sun and was capped off with Colton being blessed by my dad.

I went to check on Colton in the morning and this is how I found him. He had moved 90 degrees out of his blanket. Too cute!

July 26 - August 1, 2009

As each week passes I start to get sadder knowing that I have to return to work on August 12th. I've cherished each and every moment (even the minimal crying ones) with this sweet little guy! Eric and I continue to count our blessings with what an awesome kid he is! He is talking like crazy and today he started to stick out his tongue for hours at a time! Colton smiles all the time but for some reason when we try to take a picture, he gets fascinated by the orange light that goes off just before the picture is taken and the smile disappears. I'll keep trying to get more pictures of his gorgeous smile. Enjoy!
