California!

We took our second vacation of the summer and hit California for some baseball games and to visit Uncle Andy and our friends, the Silva's. We had a great time and Colton added two more baseball bats to his collection. Enjoy!

Colton checking out Uncle Andy! We met Andrew at one of our favorite places...Dave and Busters!

The Gant Boys!

Daddy and Colton having fun in our hotel pool in Anaheim.

Our hotel had really nice places to lay out on and relax. Colton is enjoying some yummy fries.

Having fun at the Angels game...they won!

Watching Disneyland fireworks from our hotel after the game. It was like having a front row seat, they were so close.

At the beach in San Diego....that water was COLD!

Playing games with Andrew and Ryan Silva at our second Dave and Busters of the trip.

Daddy and Colton at the Padre's game.

What a fun game and great ballpark.

The morning that we left for home. Colton is enjoying some yummy blueberries for breakfast in his awesome travel high chair.

Holidays and Milestones

This week started with the 4th of July. We went to a friend's house for a BBQ and pool party. There were lots of kids there and Colton, of course, loved the water! We got home just in time to see the fireworks over the Vegas valley from our back porch.

Ahh, a daily occurrence...getting into the pots and pans.

Colton and Daddy hanging out in the pool on the 4th of July.

Playing with some new friends.

Watching the fireworks with Mommy and Daddy. We have a great view of the entire Las Vegas Valley and can see fireworks going off in all directions.

Colton all ready for bed in his festive pj's that are 4T's!!

Eric had the next day off and we decided to spend some money and buy Colton his first real pair of shoes....Stride Rites, a milestone. This is the first pair that Colton has not tried to take off. Colton has very wide feet so not all shoes fit him properly. We're so happy that he has shoes that he'll actually wear :).

Colton loved his new shoes so much, he took off immediately to see the bright colored shoes.

Ironically, he's in the girls section, but he picked up the black pair of Nike's that could pass as boy shoes.

This is one happy boy...here he is in his new Nike shoes.

Colton's second right of passage happened today....Colton was reading his books in his room as I was getting ready, or so I thought. I went to see what he was doing because I could no longer hear him "reading." I found him right outside the bathroom and then noticed the mess in the bathroom....toilet paper strewn everywhere....good thing the roll was not full!

The look of a guilty little boy.

The mess that he, I'm sure, had fun making.

Vacation and WALKING!!

The last month has been crazy!! School ended and I became a full time mom for a couple of months, and we took a two week vacation to visit grandparents and friends. Colton would take four or five steps before going on vacation. While on vacation, Colton became more confident each day and today he is full on walking! Enjoy the pictures and videos.

Colton playing around with Daddy.....love the hat/bucket.

What a cutie!

I don't know who was more excited for Colt's first kids meal from McDonalds....Colton or Eric!

Eric and I headed to Tampa Bay for a game against the Marlins the day after we got into Florida. Grandpa and Grandma Gant watched Colton for us.

There is this cool bridge that you cross on your way into Tampa Bay....if I remember right, the name is Sky View Bridge....very cool and a little scary going over the ocean.

Colton and Daddy swimming at Grandpa and Grandma Gants.

Grandpa and Grandma Gant took Colton to the Naples Zoo....too bad it was too hot and humid for the animals to come out and visit....all except for the zebras. By the way, this is the first trip that Colton took without mom or dad.

Grandma Deb and I took Colt to the beach.

Colt loved the beach and apparently we wore him out because he decided to lay down and take an hour nap!

After a week in Florida we jumped on a plane and flew to Oklahoma to visit Grandpa and Grandma Schrage. Here Colton is enjoying a piece of pizza...which he loved!

Colton decided he wanted to read the comics.

This is how Colton fell asleep....right before we were to leave for dinner!

Colton in his awesome camouflage outfit....on the way to Dallas to visit Uncle Brad and see a Rangers game.

Mommy and Colt at the Rangers game..he did great for the first four innings :)....sorry for the quality of the picture...it was taken with an iphone.

Hanging with UB after the game. Brad, one of Eric's closest friends, is practicing with Colton as he will become a daddy in December!

Saying goodbye to Grandpa and Grandma Schrage at the airport.
