July 19 - July 25, 2009

This week was a fun one with Colton. He is smiling so much more now and every time we burp him all he wants to do is stand. He doesn't even like to sit if he can stand. I put away all of his 0-3 month clothes and he is now only wearing 3-6 months at only 10 weeks! He's going to be one tall kid!

Smiling away!

July 12 - July 18, 2009

This week was busy. We started our journey back to Vegas, where Colton did awesome yet again. Once home we had to readjust to not being in a car for 10 hours a day...not too hard. We had such a great time and look forward to a road trip to the west coast next summer :).

"Mom, do you really need to take another picture of me?!"

We stopped in Norman, OK the first night on our way home. Unfortunately Grandma Barb came down with strep throat and didn't want any of us to catch it so we didn't get to visit with her. Grandpa Dave met us for lunch the next day before we left. He couldn't get over how big Colton had gotten since last seeing him when he was a week old.
7-13-09

Colton came to love his car seat....it became another appendage of his since he was in it for up to 13 hours a day. Thankfully, Colton didn't mind it.
7-14-09

Colton's first night in his crib. When we returned home, I quickly realized that he was getting too big for his bassinet in our room. To my dismay, I reluctantly put him in his crib on Wednesday night. He slept much better than I did as I kept waking up to check the video monitor to see him sleeping soundly.

Gorgeous blue eyes!

Colton having fun on the scale at his pediatrician's office. He weighed 12 lbs 4 oz. and was 24 inches long. He's proving to be long and skinny. Shortly after this picture Colton received his first round of immunization shots. I think it was harder on me than on him. I cried right along with him, but he stopped before I did. I told Eric he has to come with me for the next shots. Who would've thought I would hurt just as much as he would and I wasn't the one getting the shots!

Watching all the pretty lights on over 10 televisions at dinner.

July 5 - July 11, 2009 - Indy Trip!

We started this week taking in a Cincinnati Reds game vs. the St. Louis Cardinals. Colton did not see one ounce of sunshine due to getting sunburned the day before. Thankfully he slept through the entire game.
7-5-09

Colton really started to smile on this trip. However, every time I'd try to take a picture he would get stuck on the orange light that goes off before the picture and I wouldn't get the smile! This is somewhat of a half smile :).
7-6-09

We met Mikey at Dave and Busters. We had a blast! Not only was the food good, the company great, but the games were awesome! Colton will definitely have fun at this place when he gets older.
7-7-09

What a freakin' awesome picture. It looks like Peyton is actually there (hehe). Eric and I had way too much fun picking out Colts gear for Colton and his nursery. We sent too much money but sure did have a great time doing it!

GO HORSE!

Eric bowing to where the Colts play, Lucas Oil Stadium.

We visited with one of Eric's old roomies from college, Ryan and Laura Holt. Their son Tyson is six days older than Colton. Colton looks huge next to Tyson. I love this picture because it's not how Colton is at all. He was all smiles until it was time to take the picture. Tyson had a great laugh at the situation....too funny.

Uncle Andrew

Uncle Andrew, Eric's brother, came to visit with Grandpa David and Grandma Deb. Andrew lives in Los Angeles and is quickly becoming a hot photographer for movie and tv show sets. Thankfully, he brought his very expensive camera with him and took these awesome shots. Andrew completely captured Colton's demeanor with all his different faces. Thanks Unlce Andy! Enjoy!

"I didn't do anything" face.

Happy Face!

Fussy Face!

Eric and Colton going for a walk with the gorgeous Vegas sunset.

What a great picture with Grandpa David.

I love his face in this picture....so angelic!

Grandpa David loved feeding and burping Colton....
that was just fine with Mommy and Daddy :).

Grandma Deb's turn to hold me!

Big yawn!

What a precious picture!

Just a hint of a smile.

June 28 - July 4 - Indy Trip!

This past week was a lot of fun. Colton was a busy guy! He went to ESPN Zone to meet The Grace's from Oklahoma...some of Daddy's oldest friends. Pat proved to be a natural with Colton. We also started our road trip to Indiana on Tuesday. We stopped in Grand Junction, Colorado; Colby, Kansas; and Kansas City, Missouri. Eric and I were a little nervous about how Colton would do in the car for the 1850 mile trip. To our very pleasant surprise, Colton did awesome! He cried a total of 25 minutes over the four days it took to get there.

Sleeping away at the Zone.

First day of our trip....at a stop in Colorado to feed Colton.
Colorado was beautiful to drive through!

Still driving through Colorado. This had to be the most
beautiful little town....small ski town with gorgeous mountains.

7-1-09

Colton's first major league baseball game....Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago White Sox. We stayed with Daddy's old friend Bryce and his wife Jenny.
7-2-09

This the second picture I took. The first picture was taken
right when Colton spit up. We all had a good laugh about it.

Look, I can hold my bottle!

We went to Uncle Don's lake house in Indiana for the 4th of July. It was overcast and only 70 degrees. We had him covered up for most of the day yet Colton still received his first sunburn. Luckily Aunt Kimberly, who is a doctor, helped us out with what to do. Fortunately Colton didn't seem to mind the sunburn.

Colton is sleeping on Grandma Deb.

June 21 - June 27, 2009

This weeks pictures includes Colton's first trip to In n Out Burgers (Daddy's favorite), as well as starting to stand (with help) and wanted to help Daddy with the lawn :).

Sadly, my Grandma Blake passed away on Thursday. I will be flying to SLC tomorrow morning for the funeral and coming back to Vegas in the evening. Daddy will be all alone with Colton all day for the first time. Hijinks will ensue I'm sure :). Colton was fortunate to meet Grandma Blake a couple weeks ago and she just loved him.

We will start our 15 day road trip to Indy on Tuesday morning. Lots of pictures to come.
