Halloween, 2014

Holidays get better and better each year with these two.  Halloween is definitely right behind Christmas as a favorite for the kiddos.  They beg me to start decorating in the beginning of September and can't wait to wear their costumes, which between going to Disneyland, school parades and Halloween night, they get to wear them often.  Enjoy!

Iron Man all ready for our school parade.

Eric was able to come and see Colton at school for his class party.

Family picture.

Daddy and Colton.

School parade.  It was in the mid 80's this day.  Poor kid was hot but didn't complain once and wore his costume all day long.

Wiped out.  Good thing we had October 31 off of school.  It's Nevada Day and we always get the day off.

Carving pumpkins.

Cinderella and Iron Man ready to hit the streets for some candy!

Two cuties!

Grandma and Grandpa Leatherwood visit

I'm finally trying to catch up on our Blog.  It's been a couple of crazy, busy months and there is a lot to catch up with.
Grandpa and Grandma Leatherwood drove down for a quick weekend visit.  They come each October so that they can enjoy the Halloween fun with us.  We always hit up our Pumpkin Patch and do fun Halloween crafts when they come.  They also had some pool time, which, if you've ever been to Las Vegas in October, you know it's one of the best months of the year in the city.  The weather is still nice enough to go swimming but not deathly hot like it is in the summer.  Enjoy!

One of the first stops after getting here was the good ole Pumpkin Patch.  The kids had fun feeding the couple of animals they had.

Grandpa Dan loves to get involved with whatever the kids are doing and want to do.

Both kids went down this slide several, several times.

Kinley was so silly during this photo.  I had a hard time getting her to give me a "normal" smile :).

I got a nice picture!

Miss Silly again!

I little pool time is always enjoyed by these two.

Painting pumpkins with Grandma's help.

I love the Ghostbusters picture...too cute.

Grandpa with the kids showing off their final products.

The last few years we have been lucky to have my dad with us on his birthday.  After taking him out to dinner, we came home for some yummy cupcakes.

Singing Happy Birthday!

Kinley had to get in her Halloween costume to show Grandma and Grandpa.  I just love how her demeanor changed once she put her dress on.  She acted just  like a real princess.

Princess Cinderella with her baby Cinderella.

Pumpkin Patch Dancing Fun!

October Randoms

Next to December, October is by far, our busiest month.  With all of the fun activities at school and home, plus we always hit Disneyland in October, it becomes crazy busy but fun!  Enjoy!

Kinley was chosen as Student of the Month!

Merryhill Preschool holds a Halloween Extravaganza each other.  The kids get to dress up and play games, eat, go on a train ride and ride a horse.  It's a lot of fun and we look forward to it each year.

Waiting to ride the horses.

Time to take a quick train ride.

We went to a birthday party at Gilcrease Orchard.  The kids had fun seeing the rows and rows of fruits, vegetables and of course, pumpkins.

We took a fun hayride around the property.

"Mom, I'm going to read to my baby."

This year we took our family pictures in a little town outside of Vegas, Blue Diamond.  The town has around 300 residences and apparently, some wild burros.

Enjoying a little quiet time and a donut.

Kinley has gotten so much better at coloring in the lines.

One week during soccer practice, Colton could bring a friend.  He choose his sister to come play with him.

I absolutely love getting these weekly email updates.  It always puts a smile on my face to see a snippet of what Kinley did in class that day.

Colton was already to go to the park with Daddy for some baseball practice.

Kinley didn't like her bow this day.  It's tough to be a girl some days.

Kinley fell off the bars in gymnastics.  When coach asked her if she was okay, she replied yup and kept going.  Needless to say, she had a nice shiner for a week.

Having fun in Ballet with Ms. Camille.
