July Randoms

We have had a very busy July.  Lots of trips and fun things happened this month.  Enjoy!

4th of July.  Swimming was a must as well as watching fireworks.

After being in the pool for a little bit, the clouds came and out of nowhere a down pour started.  The kids see rain so rarely living here that they had fun.

Time to get out of the rain.

Eric stayed in the hot tub the entire time it rained.

Luckily it cleared up for some fun fireworks.  We headed to Boulder City this year and found a great spot over looking the city.  While waiting for the fireworks to start we played a couple games of Chutes and Ladders in the back of daddy's car.

The next day, we had two special visitors....Uncle Andy and Luciana!!

They were on their way to Zion and made a stop to spend some time with us.  Here Kinley is sticking her tongue out at Andy as she jumped in the pool.

After swimming, we cleaned up and headed to Freddy's for some yummy food.  Kinley sure loves her uncle Andy.

Once back home, Luli indulged Kinley and they played dress up.  Here, Kinley is putting "makeup" on Luli.

All dressed up and ready to head out on the town.

Andy helping Colton play a game on his iPad.

Our babysitter, Madeline, braided Kinley's hair like "Anna's" from Frozen one day.

Colton put my sun hat on and started playing on his iPad.  Silly boy!

Daddy and Kinley playing a memory game.

Kinley's turn with mommy's hat and some attitude.

We went to a new donut place, Pink box donuts, one morning.  Kinley made herself right at home at the small pink table.

Lindsey's Wedding

Our kids first babysitter, Lindsey, was married in July.  She asked if Kinley would be her flower girl and Colton the ring bearer.  The kids were excited to be apart of her special day.  Enjoy!

Clowning around at the rehearsal dinner the night before.

All dressed and ready to go.

My little poser!  You should've seen how she posed for some of the wedding pictures....too cute!

Lindsey picked a gorgeous dress for Kinley.  Here is a look at the back.

Flower petals in hand and ready to throw them down the aisle.

Lindsey and Marty got married at Springs Preserve on a very hot day (112*).  It was a gorgeous back drop for a wedding.

These two were the last to go down the aisle, just before Lindsey.  They did a great job!

Annual College Roommate Reunion

It was that time of year for my college roommates and I to get together for a girls weekend!  I can't express how fortunate I am to have had five incredible roommates that I lived with during my college years.  We even discussed how none of us hated or was annoyed by each other over the course of our time together.  I definitely hit the roommie jackpot.  Enjoy!

Each year we travel somewhere else for the reunion.  Last year it was St. George, where Louise lives.  This year was Park City, not to far from Rashelle, Katy, Michelle or Bree.  Next year will be Vegas baby!!  Because our weekend fell on the week that my family was in St. George, I grabbed a short (45 min) flight out of the tiny airport there.  I was early and this is what happens in a small airport.  No one working until right before the flight leaves.

If you know me at all, you know that I HATE to fly!!  I have horrible motion sickness and have thrown up on more plane rides that I care to count so when I saw this tiny puddle jumper I was praying that it would be a smooth ride.  Luckily, it was!

We stayed at the gorgeous Marriott Mountainside Villas.  Our "villa" was complete with enough beds for everyone to have their own, a full kitchen, living room and two bathrooms.  We absolutely loved the hotel and would definitely love to take the kids sometime as it was also very child oriented.

The view from my room.  If we stayed here in the winter, you could literally ski right off the mountain and into the hotel, we were that close.  The Alpine Slide was just a short walk from here as well.

It was rainy at times and cooler than I ever see in the summer, mid 70's.  There were firepits outside to warm up by and you could even get a smores package for $1 from the hotel and make some.

Michelle, Louise, Rashelle and me inside the parking garage.  Katy met us for dinner and Bree was unable to come this year.

Playing "golf"  late one night....lots of talking, laughing, catching up and reminiscing happens on these trips.

Rashelle, Katy and myself at dinner on Main St.

What a great weekend we had reconnecting.  I know that I can always count on these ladies if needed.  Can't wait until next year in Vegas.....I have some fun things planned!

Legoland, Part 2

The second day of Legoland was just as fun as the first.  We were lucky to get into the park an hour earlier than the general public because we were staying at the hotel.  It was so nice to go on rides with no line at all and just to walk around with a much smaller crowd.  Enjoy!

"ROAR"

Daddy and Kinley in line for a ride.

This girl put her hands up on every ride....too cute!

Eric an Colton were behind us on this ride.

This ride is harder than it looks.  You must use your arm strength to pull yourself up and then you get the pleasure of going down.

The third ride of the day got us COMPLETELY soaked from head to toe.  Good thing that we were meeting up with our friends, the Silva's, in the water park right afterwards.

Kinley and Evan playing together in the sand.

Another fun Lego guy in the hotel lobby.

The kids room with bunk beds and a trundle pulls out as well.

Their own TV with a really cool on-demand menu...all kids channels.

We had the pirate room, obviously.  Lots of fun Lego accents.

When we checked in, we had to sign a waiver stating that if the Lego pieces in the room were damaged we would be libel from $90 to $900.

The kids had their own peep hole at their height.

The kids VIP slap bands that got us in the park early.

Besides going to Legoland and the water park, we also had tickets to the Sea Life Aquarium.  The kids loved seeing all of the animals.

 Slides in the fish area.

 Baby sharks!

Touching a star fish.

More Lego structures in the water.

Big sharks!

This star fish is the smallest I've ever seen.  About the size of my finger nail.

We met Uncle Andy for lunch at Dave and Buster's the next day on our way home.
