Summer Vacation...Oklahoma/Texas...part 2

After spending a week in Florida with Grandma and Grandpa Gant, we got on another airplane and headed to Oklahoma. (I must say, for as much flying as we did, the kids were AWESOME! We had several people on each flight tell us how good our kids were :) We were in Oklahoma to visit Grandma and Grandpa Schrage, who live in Norman, and Grandpa and Grandma Leatherwood, who are in Stillwater. We also took a couple of days and went to Dallas to see the Hastedt family. Enjoy!

We got in really late and the next morning after breakfast, I found Kinley sitting on the table eating more Cheerios. Have I mentioned that she is our little climber. She will climb anything and everything with no fear.

Kinley trying on Colton's goggles. Too funny.

My dad and Ruby are currently serving a mission in Stillwater, Oklahoma, which is just over an hour away from Norman. We were lucky enough to see and spend sometime with them. They have been gone since May and miss all of their children and grandchildren very much, all 39 of them!

While in Stillwater for the day, we hit up Eskimo Joe's for lunch. This is a very famous restaurant in Stillwater. Daddy had to walk away as Grandpa put OSU hats on the kids :).

Grandma Ruby holding Kinley in a sparkly OSU hat.

That's better, just a plain Eskimo Joe's hat this time.

The kids with Grandpa Dan and Daddy posing with Eskimo Joe.

When we found out that there was a new Dave and Buster's in Oklahoma City, we all headed there for some good food and fun. Kinley had fun flirting with everyone.

Kinley's first 4th of the July outfit. She had another one for a little later. We spent the day with both sets of grandparents, the Schrages and Leatherwoods, swimming, eating and enjoying each others company.

Kinley's second outfit of the day. When it got dark we went to a park where fireworks were happening.

This picture looks like Colton is hitting himself with a big hammer. Love his expression.

Everyone waiting for the fireworks to start.

Grandma Ruby and Grandpa Dan with the kids. We were lucky enough to spend three days with them and enjoyed each minute of it.

We went to Dallas to spend a few days with Brad, Suzy and Cole Hastedt. The guys sent this picture to Suzy and I, as we were out with a bunch of girlfriends for dinner and a movie, proving that they had everything under control with the three kids. :)

Cole and Kinley playing together.

Kinley thought it would be fun to try and fit both of her legs into an old coffee can.

Saying goodbye to Grandma Barb and Grandpa Dave. Sadly, I had taken some other pictures with them outside by the pool, but didn't realize that I had the wrong light setting on it and all of the pictures turned out completely white. :(

What is the first thing Colton does once home from a 2 1/2 week vacation? He goes right to his car and train bin and starts to take them all out to play with. :)

Summer Vacation...Florida...part 1

We headed to Florida to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Gant. Unfortunately, for half of the time we were there we dealt with the effects of Tropical Storm Debbie, which meant a lot of rain and spending time in doors. We made the best of it and had a great time.

Our big boy, Colton, playing with one of Uncle Andy's old toys.

Having fun in the pool. Colton swam nearly every day, rain or shine.

Hanging out in the spa.

Kinley loves her Grandpa David.

Colton took a walk with Grandma Deb and found this huge mango.

Kinley helping Grandpa David vacuum. This girl loves to help clean. I'll have to remind her of that one day :).

Due to the weather, we decided to take the kids bowling. Colton did awesome and even beat Mommy one game. This was his first time and wants to go again soon. Notice the blurriness? That is the humidity that you see. Very, very humid.

Daddy helping Colton with the ball.

Grandpa David watched, or should I say ran, after Kinley so we could bowl.

When the weather cleared up, we took the kiddos to a "Wonder Garden" in Bonita Springs. Colton loved seeing all the animals, especially the alligators and turtles.

Colton petting a baby alligator!!

Kinley enjoyed the animals as well.

Sitting on a big alligator. This kid has no fear :).

Grandma Deb made snow cones and cookies with the kids. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the snow cones because they were babysitting for us, but here are some cute ones of them making cookies.

Colton not only had fun punching the cookies out, but eating the dough too. So did Kinley :).

Kinley scooted her way on the step stool and was apart of the action.

Grandma Deb had some old bags and purses that she got out for Kinley. Here she put one on her shoulder and walked around like a little lady.

Trying to open the purse.

Deb has kept a bunch of Andrew's old toys from 20+ years ago. Colton loved playing with them. I wish they still made some of these toys....they were awesome!

Playing with "Seasame Street" playhouse.

After a fun filled week, it was time to get on a plane and go see the other two sets of Grandparents. Colton was mad at us for leaving. He wanted to stay and play with Grandma and Grandpa.

Beginning of Summer!

I finally finished work on June 14 for a couple of months and had a week off before we headed on vacation. Here are some random pictures of that first week off. Enjoy!

Colton being silly in hats.

Hiding in Mommy's pool hat.

Kinley showing off her adorable smile.

Falling asleep in the pool...something that happens quite often.

Colton wanted to try on his goggles.

Trying finger painting for the first time.

He loved it!

Showing me the color "red."

This picture warms my heart. Colton showing Kinley the different letters and where they go.
