Kinley's 2nd Birthday!

Kinley turned 2 years old on May 4.  We had a fun birthday weekend planned just for her.  Enjoy!

Kinley has turned into such a fun, spunky, beautiful toddler.  She literally makes Eric and I laugh daily with her quirkiness and balance ability, or lack of.  Eric says that Kinley is definitely my daughter because we both can be prone to times of klutziness. Kinley loves to dance and is pretty good at keeping a beat.  She is into all things girly (shoes, jewelry, purses, phones, etc) but loves to play with her brothers cars and trains as well.  Speaking of her brother, Colton and Kinley are such good friends.  As I get ready in the morning, they love to play kitchen in their playroom.  Sometimes I will listen to their conversations and smile every time with their playfulness.   Kinley is very polite, always telling us "bless you" when we sneeze as well as please and thank you without being prompted.  I have said this before, but, Kinley has no fear of anything.  She loves water, people, animals, etc.  Because she has no fear, she is one of the friendliest child you will meet.  Kinley will often go up to people to say hi when we are out and about and loves to play with other kids that she meets at the park, etc.  We were truly blessed when this beautiful girl came into our lives.

Kinley celebrated her birthday at daycare on Friday because her birthday was on Saturday.  I love that she picked out the purse and sunglasses all on her own.

Already becoming a little poser.

I brought cupcakes for the kids to enjoy and delivered lunch to everyone.

Saturday morning, Kinley woke up to balloons in her room and streamers on her door.  The streamers freaked her out because she didn't want to go through them at first.  She sat inside her room and cried for us to come get her when she first woke up.

Once Colton woke up and ran through the streamers, Kinley was just fine.

Both kids had fun playing with the balloons.

Blurry, but pure joy on her face.

We asked Kinley what she wanted for breakfast and she said, "Donuts!"  So we packed them in the car, in pajamas and all, and headed to Krispy Kreme.  The kids loved watching the donuts being made and eating them.

Pretty Birthday Girl all dressed up next to her presents.

Kinley took her time opening the presents and then wanted to play with each one before opening another gift.  Too cute.

Not only does she love shoes and purses, but cell phones have become a new obsession.  Uh oh!

Colton has some big blocks and Kinely could sit there and play with them for hours.  I was happy to see that they now make blocks in girl colors.

Kissing her new baby, Cinderella.

We literally asked Kinley what she wanted to to for her birthday and went with it.  She wanted to go see Chuck E Cheese so we went (even though we never go on a Saturday....too crazy).

During the dance with Chuck E, Kinley got right up there and stood next to him and danced the entire time.  This girl has NO fear.

Giving Chuck E a hug.

After Chuck E Cheese we went home and had some yummy ice cream cake.

Happy 2nd Birthday Kinley Marsha!

May Randoms

May was filled with fun!  We celebrated two birthdays and welcomed summer with our warm temps.  Enjoy!

Colton grabbed a book from the shelf and jumped in bed with me.  I absolutely love the look on his face, considering that he choose a Stephen King book....priceless.

Many times the kids will wake up and jump in our bed as we are getting ready for the day.  I love that Colton hugged on Kinley as he go into bed.  Kinley was fast asleep and didn't even notice.

I ordered the kids some super hero capes and masks.  Both kids love to dress-up and play, so I thought it would go right along with all their other dress-up clothes.

I told them to give me their best Super Hero pose.  Love it!!

Our good friends, the Medina's, had their girls (Lillian and Emma) birthday party at a fun park.  There was a splash pad that the kids couldn't get enough of.

Both kids were completely soaked, but dried quickly with the hot temperatures.

Pinata time!  Colton nearly broke it.

Kinley got a chance to hit it the pinata as well.

With the temperature rising, we decided to start swim lesson in May.  We also decided to have Kinley begin lessons.  Here, she is learning to kick in the water.

This girl has NO fear!  Really, she honestly has no fear of anything.  Kinley loves being in the water and with having a pool now, it's very important for both kids to become good swimmers.

Great job for her first lesson.

Colton has swim lessons last year and Sarah, his teacher, said that he picked right up and remembered most of what she taught him.  He is getting really good at being on his back.

Eyes in the water time.

Colton is becoming  a great swimmer.  He may only be four but can maneuver around the pool all on his own.  I can definitely see an improvement over last year.

Have I mentioned how much this girl loves all things girly?  Purses, shoes (see below) and dress-up clothes are her favorite right now.

We were getting Colton's hair cut and decided to have Kinley's evened out.  She sat so still, she didn't move a muscle.

Kinley's hair is really starting to grow.  She has blonde hair just like Mommy did at that age.

Our little blankie girl.  Kinley literally has to have four or five blankets in her bed at all times and when she wakes in the morning she has to grab them all before she comes into our room.

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Utah with my family.  Here, Colton is pushing Kinley around my dad's house.  Oh what these two come up with.

Part of the Leatherwood grandkids at my mom's grave.  Unfortunately, Travis and Angie'sfamily weren't able to come this year.

Grandma Marsha's grave.

After Sunday dinner most of the kids went out to the tramp.  Have I mentioned that Kinley has no fear and got right on, even though there were much bigger kids.

Having fun with Mallory and Bryce.  Colton got on a little later but had no interest at this time.

Kinley's favorite shoe of the moment.

Kinley's dress-up shoes.  She really is just like me :).

Mommy Daughter Date

I got Kinley and I some tickets to Disney on Ice, the Princesses.  We had a great time and Kinley sat mesmerized for the entire two hour show, as well as stood up and danced along.  I've also included a couple of random April pictures.  Enjoy!

All dressed up to see the Princesses and her favorite princess, Rapunzel.

No outing would be complete without a fun surprise.  I let Kinley pick any toy she wanted and, of course, she picked the Tangled doll.

We had fourth row seats....not too bad.

She didn't move for a long time.

The Lion King.  We saw nearly ten different shows all rolled up into one.  So much fun.

This is Mark.  Both of our kids LOVE Mark and can't wait to hang out with him when he comes over.

The kids decided to dress up in Kinley's play clothes.  This was all their doing including the sunglasses.  Love them!
