Spring Break, 2014

We had a crazy busy Spring Break this year, but oh so fun as well!  We took the kids to San Diego and hit up Sea World.  We also got to see our good friends the Silva's and have fun at Dave and Busters.  It was a short trip but one that will be remembered.  We also had my sister and her family as well as my brother and his family stay with us.  Fun times for sure.  Enjoy!

Sea World:  It is the 50th anniversary of Sea World this year.

When we first got to the park, it was empty!  It was also cold and overcast.  The sun finally came out mid morning and it warmed up which is a good thing because Eric and Colton got soaked on the Atlantis ride (the are in the very front).  Colton LOVES any type of roller coasters!

Due to it being the 50th anniversary of the park, workers walked around and gave out a limited edition Shamu carrying a present stuffed animal.  While Kinley and I were waiting for Colton and Eric to return from Atlantis, the worker picked Kinley to give the animal to.  She was soooo excited!

Playing in a little area while waiting for Colton and Eric to go on another ride.

Eric and Colton on a spinning ride.  I would seriously loose my lunch...good thing Eric likes them.

Visiting the shark area.

Hahahaha....Colton's look is priceless!

Each kiddo got to pick out a treat to take home.  This little girl picked the Shamu bubble blower.  Quite fun, colorful and messy.

Playing around having a slurpee.

Checking out the colorful fish.

Completely worn out and unfortunately a little sunburned.

The night we got home from San Diego, my sister Lisa and her family as well as my brother Jeff and his family came to stay.  It was so much fun having everyone under one roof.  There were 14 total....good thing we have a pretty good size house to put everyone.  The next morning, the swimming pool was the spot to be.

Blake giving Colton a ride on his back.

Lots of water wars with Eric were had.

My sister and her family left and Jeff, Mubbs and Luke stayed for a baseball tournament.  We took them out to eat at one of our favorite spots, which they don't have in Utah...Freddy's.

The kids seriously LOVE Luke.  He is so good to play with them and they love him for it.

Pool time was a must daily, even if it was 8:00 pm.  We heated the pool to ensure that it was warm enough.

We also hit up two of Luke's games, one being the Championship game.  Look closely and you'll see that Kinley ran over to Luke as soon as she could.

Kinley giving Luke a pine cone....too cute!

One final night of swimming before they left in the morning.  So fun!

March Randoms

Here are some random pictures from March, 2014.  Enjoy!!

The kids love, love, love Frozen.  For the first few weeks that we had the movie, the kids had to watch it daily.  They also had to, of course, get up and dance and sing to each song.  So cute!

 My cute little frogie.

On our way to a birthday party.  Such personalities!

This girl loves dress-up and pretend play...can you tell?

Birthday Party!!

Every year I try to incorporate what the kids are into at that time for a birthday theme.  This year we decided to do a joint party and decided to go with the Super Hero theme.  It was a lot of fun planning the party and had an even better time at the party.  Enjoy!

I order these adorable personalized birthday t-shirts for the kids.  I also order super hero capes for each kid to take home as a thank you gift.

Kinley went with a Wonder Woman theme for her outfit.

Making yummy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cut out in super hero shapes.

Capes and masks for the kiddos.  They could choose from Superman, Captain America, Spiderman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Spidergirl, Batgirl, Supergirl and Wonder Woman.

When the guests arrived, I tried to get pictures with the birthday kids , guests with their capes on and Captain America.  I then included the picture in their thank you card.

Lots and lots of food!!!

I got a picture early on and forgot to get another one once everyone got here.  Needless to say, the kids and parents had fun in the pool, nearly four hours of fun!

Landon and Levi

The awesome cake that a parent at my school made from a picture that I sent her of my idea.  Not only was it AWESOME but it tasted soooo good!

We had Sarah, our swim coach, come over and be the life guard in case some of the parents didn't want to get in the pool.  Here she is having fun with the kids.

About an hour in, we had the kids get out to sing happy birthday to the kids and enjoy some cake.

An hour later, we had the kids get out again to open presents.  They went in the pool again afterwards.  I'm telling you, the kids couldn't get enough of swimming.

Both kids were spoiled with gifts and had such a fun time with their friends.  For weeks afterwards, Colton would tell me that he had so much fun at his party with his friends, at that is why we do it.

Some of the decorations.  I wish I would've gotten "before" pictures instead of all of these "after" pictures.

I had this poster specially made for Kinley.

As well as for Colton.

The welcome sign.

The "before" picture would've shown several hero bags, all different, Avengers cups with each kids name on it and a book to choose from.

Every kid needs to be a super hero in their underoos, right?
