Christmas in Vegas....for the first time!

Eric and I decided that because our little family is growing and getting older, we wanted to start our own traditions at Christmas time. One of the first things we did was decided to spend each Christmas in our own home in Vegas. In the past we have traveled to Utah or Florida during Christmas. As much as we will miss our families on this holiday, we are excited to be in our own home. We also started some new traditions and carried on some of our families traditions. Enjoy!

Christmas eve lunch....mac n' cheese! Colton decided to forget using his fork and just go for it with his hands, hence the mess.

One of Colton's new favorite things is to go into our bathroom and turn the water on in the bathtub....we caught him a little too late...he was soaked!

Our living room that is connected to the kitchen. We still need to get some furniture in this room.

Our table all decked out for Christmas.

My two cuties!

I made sugar cookies and Colton couldn't wait to get his hands on them....it wasn't even frosted yet!

This was one tradition that Eric was use too. Deb always makes sugar cookies for Christmas. I hope I lived up to Eric's expectations and Deb's.

The finished products.

A new tradition that we started was to read "'Twas the Night Before Christmas."

Another tradition was to watch "A Christmas Story" on Christmas Eve....Colton even sat and watched it with us.

Colton was interested in Daddy's hat.....

He wanted to wear it more than Daddy.

One of my families traditions is to open one Christmas gift on Christmas Eve.

Santa left Colton lots of presents...he must've been a good boy :).

Cookies left for Santa.

Santa enjoyed his cookies and Sprite.

Christmas morning....Colton was a tad overwhelmed by all of his gifts.

One of Colt's favorite gifts...

Colton loves to ride on his truck.

Christmas in Utah....well sorta

We spent a few days before Christmas with my family in Utah. We then came back to Vegas to spend Christmas. One thing about Vegas is that we don't get too much snow. Colton was fascinated by it when we hit Utah. Enjoy.

We moved into our new home with the help of my Dad and Ruby and their truck. Colton was exhausted after the first day.

On our way to Utah, we stopped at a gas station in Fillmore, Utah and it was snowing. Colton couldn't get enough of it!

He was trying to catch the snow on his hands and then eat it.

Colton trying to catch all the snow he could.

Colton with one of Ruby's boys....Santa couldn't come to their party at the last minute so Brett filled in....Colton was fascinated either way. Colton went around saying "Santa" and "Ho Ho Ho" all over the place.

Colton with his Grandpa Dan. Colton would wake up saying "granpa, granpa." He just couldn't get enough of him.

My family's Christmas party. Colton had fun putting a bow on his head.

Oops, it fell off!

Colton got to open Grandpa Dan's and Grandma Ruby's present early.

It was a Tonka truck and some books!

Colton loves reading books!

This is the day we left, a winter wonderland. Just the day before you would've been able to see grass!

Thanksgiving 2010

November was a busy month for us. Eric and I went looking for a house in early November after the short sale fell through. The first house we looked at we loved, a former model home, and put in an offer. It was accepted immediately and we closed just before Thanksgiving (more to come on that later). We spent this Thanksgiving with my family in Utah. Enjoy!

Colton loves looking at his picture books....he only has four!

Colton loved taking this BYU pillow and laying on it wherever he could. It was the perfect size for him.

I know it's been awhile since I've updated, but there has been a lot going on in the Gant family. It is my goal to get completely updated over this holiday break. We begin with going back to the end of October. Within four weeks, we had visits from all three sets of grandparents. Colton is a very lucky boy that all of his grandparents love him so much to come see him. We also celebrated Colton's second Halloween. Enjoy!

Grandma and Grandpa Gant visited us and brought the whole family Colt's gear.

Colton is throwing Grandma Deb a kiss goodbye.

Grandpa David with Colton just before they left.

We went to a friends for a Halloween party....Colton's babysitter is our friends daughter and Colton just loves her! We went as Colt's fans.

Colton with Lindsay, his babysitter.

Colton loved this scary butler. The butler would talk when you walked by...Colton stood by it all night!

The Gant family as Colt fans.

This was Halloween day...Colton loved running around in our yard....it was a beautiful day...in the 80's!
