I've been a bad blogger lately. Sorry! This has been a crazy start to the fall and to the new school year. I was lucky enough to get an interview for an Assistant Principal position at an elementary school and got the job!! As a teacher, I taught elementary, but after getting my Admin degree I wanted to do something different and was able to get hired as a dean at a high school. I was at Del Sol High School for 3 1/2 years when I was lucky again to be transferred to a middle school. Once the kiddos started to come, I needed to have a job that wasn't so involved, especially with afterschool events. Woodbury MS was perfect and I gained some really good friends there. But, after six years of being a dean, I was burned out! I needed a change and was more than ready to return to the elementary level. I was so excited to be chosen as the AP at Schorr ES. I can truly say that I am happier than I have been in a long time with work. I absolutely love the principal and the staff is one of a kind. I forgot how dedicated and hardworking elementary teachers are! It has truly been a wonderful experience so far and I can only see it get better as I learn more and more. Enough about me....here are some cute pictures of the kids. Enjoy!
We have train tracks near our house. We try to take a walk on Wednesday's, when we know that the train comes by. Colton is anticipating the train. He can hear it, but not see it yet.
Colton telling Kinley that the train was coming. Have I mentioned how much this kid loves trains!
The train finally coming by. The conductor honked his horn for the kids, which they loved! Both kids loved seeing it up close.
Talking another walk.
Now that we have a pool, we decided to have Colton take swimming lessons. Sarah, his teacher, would come each weekend for 45 minutes. These pictures were taken from inside the house as I was a distraction to him when I was outside.
Colton did really well with the swim lessons. He can swim on his back all by himself and can go short distances on his front, all without any assistance.
Here, Colton is putting his "eyes in the water." We will start lessons up again in the Spring and will include Kinley this time.
Brother and sister watching Cars together.
A weekend ritual...making breakfast muffins. Both kids love to help me bake/cook and enjoy licking spoons or batters.
Kinley is such a girl already! She LOVES to put on Mommy's shoes, jewelry and pretend makeup. She also loves to put on Daddy's ties.
Happy Kinley!
