Roos N More

There is a neat little zoo about an hour outside of Vegas called Roos N More.  It different than most zoos in the fact that they have several animals either just walking around or on a leash with a worker.  You are also encouraged to feed the animals and can buy raisins to give to them.  The kids had a blast and we will definitely be going back.  Enjoy!

 

The first place we went was to see the Lemurs.  This little guy (on the ground inbetween Colton and Kinley) scared Colton as he jumped right on the cage as we approached it.  

Neither kid had any fear of feeding the animals.

This desert tortoise was just walking around the zoo.  We saw her a few times and boy was she fast for a tortoise. 

Colton got in on the petting action.

Just a couple of bobcats laying around.

 

Kinley found the tortoise again.

I can't remember the name of this animal, but it was on a leash and ready to be petted by whoever walked by.

This was a very friendly camel and loved eating the raisins from the kids hands.

Colton wanted to try and laughed as the camel ate the raisins.  He said it tickled his hand.

The goats turn to get some grub.

Mr. Ostrich was a little creepy.  He followed us as we walked and fed the animals and would peck through the gate for our hands.

Instead of hand feeding the ostrich, Eric put some raisins on the post.

Time to go.  Kinley did get to hold a baby kangaroo but I was holding her at the same time so no pictures of that cute event.
