October Randoms

Here are some random pictures from October.  Enjoy!

Nearly daily, Colton would ask me to take his picture next to the pumpkin and witch.

Witch!

Pumpkin!

I had a night event at my school on the same night that Eric had a meeting.  The kids and I hung out in the library with all of the other students.  Kinley literally made herself at home with the much older kids.  No fear for this one.

Colton was wearing his pumpkin shirt and wanted his picture taken (again) with the witch.

Mr. Cool.

Before leaving for Disney, the kids painted some pumpkins.

So much concentration on which color to use.

Lots of fun colors.

We did their hand prints on one pumpkin.

Carving pumpkins!

Each kid chose a pattern to carve and mommy and daddy did all the work.

Halloween, 2013

Halloween was so much fun this year.  I get the feeling that as the kids get older, it just gets better.  Enjoy!

The night before I made some goody bags for Colton's school and Kinley's babysitter.

 This was the final product.

The staff at my school is awesome!  I'd say about 90% of them dressed up.  My principal and I decided to coordinate and dress up as 50's greaser and poodle skirt girl.  It was hilarious how many kids asked what I was, but their parents knew and said they loved the costume.

I'm lucky enough to have a flexible schedule and awesome boss, who let me leave to take Colton to his class party (he doesn't go to school on Thursday's) and then pick him up afterwards.

Getting ready for his parade.

All ready to go trick or treating.  Kinley as Princess Dorothy and Colton as a Ghostbuster, with his proton pack and all.

 Kinley with Toto.

Heading to the next house.

Almost all done.  Happy Halloween!

Disneyland, Day 3

Day 3 at Disneyland was our last :(.  We started it off with heading to Goofy's Kitchen, which is located in our hotel, for some breakfast.  Enjoy!

Big hugs from Goofy.

Goofy!!

We got to see Princess Jasmine once again.

Baloo form Jungle Book.

Chef Pluto.

Both Chip and Dale came through, but Dale is the only one we got to see before leaving.

The Mad Hatter from Alice and Wonderland.  He told the kids to make a silly face for the camera.

Dumbo, the ride, was out of order, so Colton insisted that I take this picture with him, which is just outside our hotel.

Lots and lots of candy from trick or treating.

Right before getting in the car and leaving, there are some neat bronze statues of Mickey and Minnie.  Saying goodbye until next time.

Disneyland, Day 2

Day 2 of Disneyland consisted of meeting lots of characters, going on lots of rides and dressing up for Mickey's Halloween Party! There are lots of pictures from day 2.  Enjoy!

We walked into the park and saw Pluto.

Pluto signed their autograph books and posed for a cute picture.

Pluto and Colton

Peter Pan!

We were so lucky with catching the characters when there were literally no line.  Cinderella was AWESOME!  She spent at least 5 minutes with Kinley alone.  She talked to her, hugged her, signed her autograph book and took pictures with her.

She asked Kinley all sorts of questions and Kinley, who is usually very outgoing, was mesmerized by Cinderella.

Big hugs!

Signing her autograph book.

Posing for pictures.

One last hug.

Colton, a little shyer, got a hug from Cinderella as well.

To pose for the picture, Cinderella had Colton pose as a prince.

Ariel!  Both kids love The Little Mermaid and were so excited to meet Ariel!

Colton has a slight crush on Ariel and loved meeting her.

Meeting Princess Jasmine.

All of the princesses were so great with both kids.  They will talk about their experiences with them for a long time.

While in line for Pirates of the Caribean, Kinley befriended the little girl in front of us.  The girl was older and took Kinley by the hand as we walked toward the ride.  She would even turn around in the ride and grab Kinley's hand and tell her not to be scared.  Too cute!

Tiana and Kinley in New Orleans Square.

Both kids saying hi.

Eric and I split up and he took Colton on Splash Mountain as Kinley and I went to see Flynn Rider and Rapunzel.  Colton sat in the very front of the ride and got soaked!

Winnie the Pooh!

Getting a hug from Pooh.

Tigger!  Eric said that Tigger was awesome and spent so much time with each kid that the workers told him to speed it up :).

Daddy got in on some Tigger action.

Eeyore!

We stayed at the Disneyland hotel.  It was not only so convenient and close but as we were walking back for naps before trick or treating, Goofy was just standing outside the door.

Just outside our hotel, getting ready to go to Mickey's Halloween Party.

I can't begin to tell you, as we walked to the park, how many people smiled as they saw Colton's costume.  We heard several, "That is awesome!"

Each "land" has several trick or treating locations within it.  Lots and lots of candy.

Kinley and mommy watched the Halloween parade as Colton and Daddy went on the Matterhorn ride twice!

Kinley saying "hi" to the princesses as they went by.

Tea cups!  It was a long, fun day and the kids crashed upon arriving back at the hotel at 11:30 pm.
